Members of the Northern
support group who meet in
West Yorkshire
The meetings are becoming very popular now and everyone is welcome to join them at the Farsley Working Men's Club, Back Lane, Farsley, Pudsey, West Yorkshire, LS28 5EU. Each meeting is on the first Tuesday in each month between 8.00pm and 11.00pm. So the next three meetings will be on 5th June, 3rdJuly and 7th August The Radio Caroline Northern Support Group. Some time ago went on to Wednesday night meetings. But this was a flop as at the last meeting only 4 turned up. We had to change from a pub at Stanningly Called :The Travellers.: As this pub closed down. We went to a pub in Pudsey called : The Butchers Arms.: But this was not ideal as it was on a Wednesday just the same. Plus we had to be in with the public. At the Travellers pub there was a room we had to ourselves. Peter Clayton did show DVD's but it never took off some how. However I did try to change things and I am hoping it will be ok. As i found a place in Farsley which has a room. We can have it to ourselves. Plus I have arranged DVD playing. But they will only be on a small TV screen for the time being. But the room is large and we can play DVD's to our hearts content. So now the Group are now back on a Tuesday. The first Tuesday in the Month. all meetings are now at the new venue. Colin Liversidge tells me that you can grab a drink and watch some great DVDs about offshore radio. Food is available and you will enjoy yourselves in the company of the Northern Caroline group. Come along you will be glad you did
This recent Support Group meeting was a great success, with Norman providing a very interesting DVD about Pirate Radio (of course)! It was nice to see a few more members this month, lets hope the numbers increase in future months
